Status: IUCN: Endangered; USFWS: Endangered (2011)

Threats: Agricultural practices, climate change, deforestation, enemism, habitat fragmentation, invasive species, and sedimentation (What do these terms mean?)

Native Range: Upper Tennessee River system, TN. Known only from Walden Ridge and Cumberland Plateau

Spawning Habitat Preferences: Early spring to summer spawners in small streams with moderate flow; lay eggs over gravel substrate at riffle bases

CFI Status: Propagated at CFI in 1993 for propagation protocols and augmentation. (What do these terms mean?)
