Status: IUCN: Endangered; USFWS: Endangered (2011)

Threats: Climate change, habitat fragmentation, impoundments, and mining (What do these terms mean?)

Native Range: Little Red River system, n-cen. AR

Spawning Habitat Preferences: Late spring spawners in small-medium sized rivers with high flow; they spawn in cobble next to large rocks

CFI Status: Propagated at CFI from 2002-2006 to develop propagation protocols; 2019-Present for climate change research*. (What do these terms mean?)
