The North Carolina Hellbender Festival is a one-day celebration of outdoor recreation. The day will focus around our rivers, local culture, and the legendary Hellbender salamander. Held in Downtown Spruce Pine on Labor Day weekend, the festival features live music, educational workshops, local vendors, hands-on art activities, and more. Conservation Fisheries is excited to join the festival this year. Come see CF’s table which will include educational activities and merch!
SturgeonFest is a fun and educational event where visitors can register to release a juvenile Sturgeon into the French Broad River and also learn about local area conservation groups. There will be booths set-up for local artists, businesses, and food trucks. Enjoy live music from the Tennessee Stifflegs! CF is happy to table at this event once again! We will be selling merch and providing some educational materials as well.
